About Hide the Cat Wiki
What this site is: an independent fan wiki for the active Hide the Cat Roblox game, how every fact is verified with sources and check dates, and what the site refuses to claim.
What this site is
This is an independent fan-made wiki for the Roblox game Hide the Cat — the active 2026 game by the group with ID 321281846 (owner RogerThat1337; the group is officially named “Oops! All Cats” in Roblox's API, having launched as “Hide the Cat”). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the game's creators or Roblox Corporation. There is no official Hide the Cat wiki; this site fills that gap with sourced facts instead of forum rumors.
We cover the active game on purpose and do not mix in the older same-named game by group Piriyo — but because search results routinely confuse the two, a full Which Game disambiguation page documents both, identified by creator and place ID rather than name alone.
How we verify facts
- API first. Game identity, activity counters, votes, the badge ladder, game-pass names and prices, and group membership all come from Roblox's public API endpoints — the same records the official game page renders. Each endpoint is listed with its URL on the Sources page.
- Every fact carries a check date. Counters move daily; identity fields rarely move at all — though even identity labels can change, as the creator group's own rename to “Oops! All Cats” shows, which is why we anchor identity on the group and place IDs. A snapshot without a date would be a guess about “now”, so each number on this site is stamped with the day it was read (latest full pass: 2026-10-31; earlier passes: 2026-09-21, 2026-10-03, 2026-10-23).
- Negative findings are recorded. When a probe comes back empty — the social-links API listing no Discord, the absence of any patch-notes channel — we publish that absence with its date instead of quietly dropping the claim.
- Changes are shown both ways. When a fact changes between checks, both readings stay on record. Example: the Anime Bundle [LIMITED] pass was priced 299 R$ on 2026-09-21 and off sale on 2026-10-03 — the passes page shows both states.
What we don't claim
- We have not playtested the game. Pages describe what official sources state and clearly label the rest; gameplay guidance is derived from the game's own description and promotional art, never from invented personal war stories.
- We do not invent numbers. Round timers, coin payouts, detection ranges — if the developer hasn't stated a value, the pages say so in one honest sentence and move on.
- We do not repost rumors. Same-named games, fake “official” Discords, and walkthrough map lists attributed to the wrong game are exactly the noise this wiki documents and separates out.
- We are not a news site. We keep a small set of pages deep instead of a feed of shallow posts; when the studio ships a visible change (a new limited pass, a new sister game), the affected page's snapshot is re-taken and re-dated.
How facts age here
Between our two full checks the game's visits grew from 638,656 to 5,336,350 and the group from 550 to 50,285 members — a reminder that any Roblox stat copied without a date goes stale fast. Our rule: identity facts (creator, place ID, created date) are stable and checked at each pass; counters (visits, votes, awards, members, prices, sale flags) are read fresh at each pass and always shown with that pass's date. If a page shows a number, the page shows its day.
Advertising and independence
This site is ad-supported; placements are labeled as advertisements in the page footer and described in the privacy policy. Ads never determine page content: pass prices are quoted from Roblox's API with dates, not from any advertiser, and no page exists to promote one game over the other — the twin-game comparison is driven by the same API records as everything else.
What each page covers
- Home — game identity, the dated activity snapshot, the round loop in brief, and the FAQ entry point for the whole wiki.
- How to play — the five-step official round loop, the landlord, coins/revive/shrink-ray context, beginner mistakes, and the dated list of gaps.
- Best hiding spots — the five-principle spot-choice method from official art and premise, plus the evidence-backed block on why no official spot names exist yet.
- Badges — the full six-badge ladder with award counts, past-day momentum, and the per-badge reading.
- Game passes — every pass with check-dated prices and sale status, the limited-bundle rotation shown both ways, and coin mechanics from official wording.
- Which game — the same-named Piriyo twin disambiguation by creator and place ID, with both games' full API rows.
- Sources — every endpoint, field, and probe behind the numbers above, plus the recheck recipe.
Corrections
There is no public corrections channel yet — see Contact for the current status. In the meantime every claim carries its source and date so you can verify it directly against the official records in one click. If a page and the official record ever disagree, the official record wins and the page gets corrected with a new check date.
About-page FAQ
Is this wiki official?
No. Independent fan project, unaffiliated with the game's creators or Roblox Corporation. The only official surfaces we link are the Roblox game page and the Roblox group.
Who runs it?
An independent fan of the game. There is no company, editorial board, or game-studio involvement behind the pages.
Why does every page say “checked 2026-10-31”?
Because that is the day the underlying API snapshots were taken. It lets you judge how fresh each number is and re-run the check yourself — the source URLs are public.
Can I use facts from this wiki?
Yes — cite the official source and its date rather than us; that is the whole point of the Sources page.
