Hide the Cat Badge Ladder
Every badge on one page: Welcome! through 25 Cats with official descriptions, award counts, past-day awards and Roblox's own win rates - checked 2026-10-31 - plus how to read the cumulative cats-hidden ladder.
Hide the Cat tracks your progress with one number: cats hidden, counted cumulatively across rounds. Six badges mark the ladder from joining the game to the rare 25 Cats tier. Everything below is one dated snapshot of the official Roblox badges API — numbers move daily, so the date travels with the numbers.

Previous pass for comparison (2026-10-23): Welcome! 4,011,270 · 5 Cats 1,539,899 · 10 Cats 773,024 · 15 Cats 396,517 · 20 Cats 224,528 · 25 Cats 117,366. Before that (2026-10-03): 2,608,694 · 999,747 · 504,571 · 259,803 · 146,840 · 76,674 — and twenty days earlier still (2026-09-21): 334,828 · 116,607 · 55,019 · 27,080 · 15,034 · 7,659. Lifetime totals kept climbing through the 2026-10-20 update and the 2026-10-31 recheck; the past-day influx cooled (see below).
How to read this table
- The descriptions count cats hidden in total (“You hid 5 cats”, “You hid 10 cats”…), so the ladder is a running total of your successful hides across every round you play — that is the full extent of the official wording.
- The win-rate column is a survival curve: Welcome! is automatic (100%), a bit over half of all players reach 5 Cats (58.7%), and roughly one in twenty-one reaches 25 Cats (4.7%). The steps between neighboring tiers stay near a 50% pass-through (1,646,307 → 826,452 → 424,081 → 240,049 → 125,537) — each extra five cats loses about half the field.
- The “in past day” column is a live-growth signal: 25,528 players earned Welcome! in the 24 hours before this 2026-10-31 check, versus 29,758 on 2026-10-23, 216,547 in the equivalent window on 2026-10-03 and 87,288 on 2026-09-21 — the daily influx stayed well below its early-October peak even as lifetime visits kept climbing (5.3M → 9.4M).
- Why Welcome! (4.3M awards) sits well below lifetime visits (9.4M): the badge set went live on 2026-08-31, five days after the place was created on 2026-08-26, so the earliest visitors could never receive it.
Badge history and structure
All six badges were created in a two-minute window on 2026-08-31 (04:02–04:05 UTC per the API) and never edited since — the ladder shipped as one designed set, not tiers bolted on over time. Five of the six are the cats-hidden rungs; the sixth, Welcome!, is the participation badge every new player receives on joining.
Reading the ladder as a play estimate: reaching 25 Cats needs at least 25 successful hides after the badge set launched. With 125,537 players holding 25 Cats on this check, the community has banked millions of completed hides — the counter, not a story mode, is the game's progression spine. What each hide pays in coins is covered on the game passes page, where the 2x Coins pass quotes the official wording.
Badge by badge (checked 2026-10-31)
Welcome!
The participation badge: awarded on joining, a 100% win rate, 4,286,058 holders — including 25,528 in the last day alone. It backfills nothing for the game's first five days (2026-08-26 to 2026-08-31), which is why its total sits below the visits counter.
5 Cats
“You hid 5 cats” — the first real milestone, and still the widest rung: Roblox's stat reads 58.7%, so just over half of all players clear it. At 1,646,307 awards it has more holders than the rest of the Cats rungs combined.
10 Cats
“You hid 10 cats” — where the funnel halves (826,452 awards, 29.4% win rate). Reaching it means you survived ten landlord inspections cumulatively.
15 Cats
“You hid 15 cats” — 424,081 awards at a 15.7% win rate. Roughly one in six players get this far, and the past-day count (2,764) shows the climb is still busy.
20 Cats
“You hid 20 cats” — 240,049 awards, 8.7%. Session length starts to matter here: twenty cumulative successful hides is a multi-session commitment for most players.
25 Cats
“You hid 25 cats” — the summit: 125,537 holders, a 4.7% win rate, and 831 new ones in the past day. At least 25 successful hides sit behind this badge, which is why the game treats it as the progression finish line.
Will there be more badge tiers?
The developer has no patch-notes channel, so upcoming tiers cannot be ruled in or out from any public record — re-checked after the game's 2026-10-20 update and again on 2026-10-31: still six badges. The pattern to watch is the one this page already tracks: a new rung would appear in the badges API with a fresh creation timestamp, and this snapshot format will date it the day it shows up. Spending choices that interact with the ladder (2x Coins, the shrink ray) are documented pass-by-pass on game passes.
Badge FAQ
How many badges does Hide the Cat have?
Six: Welcome!, 5 Cats, 10 Cats, 15 Cats, 20 Cats, 25 Cats — all created 2026-08-31 (checked 2026-10-31).
What is the rarest badge?
25 Cats: Roblox's award-rate statistic reads 4.7%, with 125,537 awards on this check — the smallest count of the six.
How do the Cats badges count hides?
Cumulatively: the descriptions say “You hid 5 cats” through “You hid 25 cats”, so one successful hide anywhere adds one cat to the running total the badges unlock against.
Do badges give in-game rewards?
The badge records describe none, and the developer has stated nothing about badge rewards in any public channel we probe (checked 2026-10-31). Treat them as progression markers.
Can I see the raw badge data myself?
Yes — the badges API endpoint is public and listed with the rest on the Sources page.
